Black/White is the oh-so-clever name I’ve come up with to cover all of my video projects that I’d like to make. The first one was conceived to be a look at my work life, where I’d take my camera in with me to the office for a week, film whatever I could, and put together an entertaining montage of moments that I’d like to remember. The idea was that it’d help improve what I feel is my dreary cube life with some much-needed creativity and freshness. Well, bring my camera to work and film I did, and now I’m left with a few hours of footage to pore over.
Unfortunately, the sum total of what I have is likely to entertain only the most deprived individuals, perhaps those kept in a dungeon and sexually assaulted on a daily basis. To the rest of us, I imagine watching this stuff would result only in boredom at best. At worst, it may bring a man to weep. Well, to be fair, another man. The first one was me, of course.
So, what do I do about all this video? Is this the editing challenge of the century or should I actually attempt to cobble together a coherent narrative that highlights the worst part of my life for the entire world to see? I have not decided. If only the world had a phone number I could use to get a consensus opinion about whether this sort of thing is even wanted. That’s the trouble with the world. No obvious consensus.

Ah, faceless multicolored youth of the world, why can’t you answer a simple question for me?
I guess I’ll just have to make up my own damn mind, and if I end up with something to show, let the world judge it based on its own merits. There’s a wacky route to take.
